Discipline Disciple (Dwarf Priest)

While they are one of the ten orders that make up the dwarven religion, the Brotherhood of Discipline is not an order of divine spellcasters. Instead, the Discipline Disciples, as they are known, follow a different path. They seek “to become as the stone”. Both in a metaphorical sense, but ultimately also in a very literal one. Any male dwarf that possess the focus, determination and character too pass the many days of truly rigorous testing demanded by the order may become a Discipline Disciple. It is said that the very act of testing begins the dwarf’s journey to stone.
The Brotherhood of Discipline is a universal order among dwarves, there is little distinction between members from different kingdoms, and every kingdom has at least some Disciples. The rules of the order are also universal, and there is little room for comforts or diversions that would detract from the Disciples journey. The Brotherhood also has a clear ranking: there is no tolerance for a brother not knowing his place or doing what is required. Nonetheless, a Discipline Disciple does have some freedom to pursue his own path to stone. Many seek adventure as a way of testing themselves, and of spreading the benefits of a disciplined life. Whatever they do, they must behave in a way consistent with the laws and customs of the dwarves.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Disciple gains proficiency with the warhammer.

Stone Will (Ex): The Disciple receives a bonus to Will saves equal to one point of his constitution bonus (if any) for each Disciple level.

Spur (Ex): The Disciple can press himself and others around him to improve their performance. Once per day the Disciple and all non-chaotic allies of the Disciple within 50 feet who can hear him receive a +2 moral bonus to attack and skill checks and saving throws against fear and fear effects. The Disciple can maintain this bonus for 1 minute per level, but must be able to speak to Spur others. At 4th level the Disciple can Spur twice a day, at 7th level three times per day, and at 10th level 4 times per day.

Constitution Bonus: At 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th levels the Disciple receives a permanent +1 to constitution, and receives all the benefits of a higher constitution.

Stone Body (Ex): Starting at 2nd level the Disciple adds one point of his constitution bonus (if any) for each Disciple level to his strength score, and uses this modified score to determine carrying capacity and the strength modifier for attack, damage, skill and strength checks.

Fearless: At 3rd level the Disciple is no longer affected by magical fear or fear effects, and cannot be intimidated.

Damage Reduction (Ex): At 4th level, the Disciple gains Damage Reduction. Subtract 2 from the damage the Disciple takes each time he is dealt damage from a weapon or a natural attack. At 6th level, and every two Disciple levels thereafter (8th and 10th), this damage reduction rises by 2 points. Damage reduction can reduce damage to 0 but not below 0.

Aura of Courage (Su): Starting at 5th level, the Disciple radiates an aura of courage. Each ally within 10 feet of him gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects. This ability functions while the Disciple is conscious, but not if he is unconscious or dead.

Stone Heart (Ex): At 9th level, a Disciple gains spell resistance equal to one point of their Constitution bonus (if any) per Disciple level + 15. In order to affect the Disciple with a spell, a spellcaster must get a result on a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) that equals or exceeds the Disciple’s spell resistance.

Earth Form (Su): Upon attaining 10th level, the Disciple becomes a creature of earth, and gains the earth subtype. He can burrow through dirt and rock at a rate of 5 ft a round, and becomes immune to all mind affecting spells. The Disciple also no longer takes penalties to his ability scores for aging and cannot be magically aged. Any such penalties that he has already taken, however, remain in place. Bonuses from aging still accrue, and the Disciple still dies of old age when his time is up
